How do I get the files?
You buy on Etsy and can download the files right away – in your Etsy account under “Purchases”. Nothing is shipped.
Which file formats do I get?
Guides as PDF (A4 landscape, German and English). Every RACK comes with an Excel calculator that also works in LibreOffice Calc. BOX and GRID include cutting files as DXF, SVG, EPS and PDF – no DWG.
Which machine do I need for BOX and GRID?
A laser or CNC router. BOX parts fit a laser bed from 600 × 300 mm (usable 586 × 292). GRID dividers are about 555 mm long – you need a machine of the 600 mm class. For CNC: 2 mm cutter, set dogbones in CAM.
Why should I do a test cut?
Slots are nominal thickness with no play – kerf compensation is set to a standard value. Because board thickness and machines vary, always check the fit on a small part first.
Do I need special tools for a RACK?
No. Have the boards cut at the DIY store; you need a cordless drill, wood bits and a pocket-hole jig. Chapter 2 of each guide lists exactly what.
What does the material cost?
You know upfront: every guide lists guide prices, and the calculator uses your own prices. Examples: RACK PLAY approx. €170 without boxes, GRID eco approx. €5 per GRID.
Which containers fit?
RACK: any standard Euro container. BOX and GRID: snug fit for Bauhaus and OBI 60 × 40 × 12 with flat base. Details on the compatibility page.
What may I do with the files?
You receive a simple, non-transferable licence for private use – make as many parts as you like for yourself. Not allowed: sharing, reselling or publishing the files (also modified or in part) and selling or commercially using parts made from them. This applies to guides, calculators and cutting files.
I want to sell parts I make.
A commercial licence is available on request – tell us briefly what you have in mind.
Do I get updates?
Yes. New brands for BOX and GRID are added as a free update to existing listings – simply download the new version in your Etsy account.
Can I withdraw from the purchase?
For digital content the right of withdrawal ends with the download if you agree at checkout. Etsy handles this. If a file causes trouble, write to us – we will help.
Liability
You build at your own risk. Check material, dimensions and kerf before cutting, do a test cut – and always fix tall RACKs to the wall (tipping risk).
